XP Tips

XPYou can free up drive space by running the Disk Cleanup utility. Click Start and then click Run. In the Open box, type cleanmgr, and then click OK. Select the drive and click Ok again.  When it gets done thinking, it will bring up a window with two tabs.  The first allows you to check options to delete and will show you how much space you can recover.  The second tab, More Options, allows you to remove windows components you don't need, uninstall programs you don't use, or delete all but the newest restore point.

Vista Tips

Vista LogoEver wondered why Vista's default option on the Start Menu power button is "Sleep"?  Here's how to make it "Shut Down" instead.  Click the Start button, then in the search bar type "powercfg.cpl,1".  When the Power Options box comes up, scroll down to "Power Buttons & Lid" and change the options for the hardware power button and the start menu power button.
